Day 10 & Day 11 - Journey back home

Day 10 – Sankri to Mussoorie

We left Sankri at 7:30 AM, bidding goodbye to our trek mates and TTH staff. The drive to Mussoorie was tough with motion sickness hitting most of us. We stopped for a quick break and snacks.

Lunch was at the same place near Kempty Falls, then our trek friends dropped us at Hotel Sun n Snow Majestic. Rekha and I enjoyed the beautiful view and relaxed for a while.

Later, we explored Mussoorie, bumped into a family from Sankri, and visited the ropeway for stunning views. We treated ourselves to chaat at a food stall, then took a cycle rickshaw back to the hotel. Rekha’s calm and humor had been my anchor throughout the trek. Back in the room, we packed and checked in for our flight.

Day 11 – Mussoorie to Bengaluru via Dehradun and Delhi

We left for Dehradun airport at 8:30 AM, arriving early. There was a funny mishap with my luggage, so I had to shift some of it to Rekha’s bag—she rolled her eyes but didn’t complain, reminding me why I value our friendship.

The flight to Delhi was smooth, and we spent a couple of hours shopping and eating. Rekha found Agra petha, while I bought chocolates.

Landing in Bengaluru felt bittersweet. The trek had been unforgettable, and it reminded me how important it is to have someone who laughs, supports, and walks beside you. A true travel partner is rare.
