Day 4 & 5 - Special Day - Sankri to Bheduka

Day 4 – Sankri to Bheduka

We woke up at 6:00 AM, ready to trek by 8:00 AM. The itinerary had mentioned a jeep ride to Taluka, so I was unprepared for the trek. With no mobile signal, I felt anxious, but a call from home and motivation by the travel partner lifted my spirits. All the fellow trekkers assembled and prepared to start trekking. Rekha stayed back with me for the jeep ride, this is what makes a travel partner so special. The 12 km journey to Bheduka involved ice-cold streams and challenging terrain. We were greeted with fresh lemon juice and set up tents upon arrival. Rekha made my birthday special, and we spent the evening around the campfire.

Day 5 – Bheduka to Puanigharat (2600 mts)

We woke up early and started the trek at 8:00 AM. The path included several ascents, with a rest stop for tea and Maggi. The campsite by the Supin River was serene, and I spent time relaxing by the water in soliture and sometimes with fellow trekkers. I observed a small bird diving into the freezing river repeatedly. The group shared experiences and enjoyed Nitin’s inspiring stories. By evening, we noticed fresh snow on the mountaintops, and the day ended with anticipation for the next days trek.
