Day 8 :  Kalkhatiadhar to Puanigharat via Osla

This was one of the easier days, with mostly descents. We stopped at Osla again, made a quick phone call home, and shared the news about our summit. We reached the campsite earlier than expected, but the mules carrying our gear hadn’t arrived yet.

We spent a lot of time by the river at a favorite spot, relaxing on the rocks and enjoying the sound of the flowing water. I think this was one of the places where I lingered the most, either clicking pictures or simply soaking in the peaceful vibe. Lunch was a simple khichdi-like dish.

It drizzled lightly, and we saw rain over the distant mountains. For a brief moment, a beautiful rainbow appeared, and I tried convincing everyone to look for it even after it had disappeared—it became a bit of a joke!

As the evening turned colder, the weather cleared up, and I went back to sitting on the river rocks. After a good dinner, we gathered for our usual campfire and games of Mafia. There was plenty of singing, mostly led by Rahul and Nitin. My tent partner turned in early and missed all the singing—and the snoring that followed!

This was our last night in the tent, making it a memorable mix of calm moments by the river and lively time around the campfire.
